Birthday Weekend!

Can't wait for my birthday weekend to start! :-)

Tomorrow, July 2, my actual birthdate, i'll get a much needed hair cut, plus lunch with my boys (Daddy and Basti) and then merienda with the rest of my family :)

Then on Sunday, July 3, we're having lunch + karaoke at RedBox Greenbelt 3 with family and friends :)

Weeeeeee!

No big bash, no balloons and confetti, no bells and whistles for my 30th birthday celebration this weekend.

BUT - it will be the BEST birthday weekend ever because it will be full of LOVE and HAPPINESS :)

Ring Bearer

Finally my sister in law was able to send me photos of Basti who was their ring bearer at their recent wedding :)

Happy Basti

Basti has a stuffed penguin named "Happy."
Now, our dilema is when we ask him: "Basti, are you happy?"
Basti replies -
"No," shakes his head and points to himself, corrects us and says "Basti!"

Breast Cancer

Got news yesterday that my friend's sister in law has stage 2 breast cancer :(

While breast cancer is the top cancer (most common) globally, i still did not expect someone that close to us to eventually get it... 

My grandmother actually had it too, but still...

Its still so unreal. And yet so real.

Its scary, and now i cannot stop thinking about it. 

I should get a mammogram soon.

Milk Switch?

Trying to start weaning Basti off of milk formula. So far, he only finishes 1/4 of a tetra pack of fresh milk. But he manages to finish an entire tetra pack of chocolate milk! haha :)

Allergy Season is Here Again

Its the dawn of allergy and cold season once more, and this usually makes us wary because our Basti has asthma and easily gets colds.

One of the things that help us get through these is a wonderful invention called BOOGIE WIPES!!!

Whoever thought of this is a genius, haha.

Because of Boogie Wipes, our son learned to blow his nose at 8months old and i think its why thankfully, he has never had to be hospitalized because of difficulty breathing and respiratory tract infections which are common in babies.

So there, for all of you moms there, best to stock up on this this season! If you know where to get one in your area. Sadly, i dont think there is an official distributor here in the Philippines :(

I used to be able to get these from True Value Home Center, but i think they never renewed their stocks on this anymore :( So I'm researching now how to get it here.
